Objectives:The objective of the programme is to train graduates to teach classes in recognized schools.
PROGRAMME CODE: 001 B.E.D. BACHELOR OF EDUCATION Duration: Two years
Eligibility: Any Degree or an equivalent examination are eligible for admission to B.Ed. Degree Programme. Admission will be confirmed after a written Entrance Test.
Programme Components (A) Core Subjects for I & II years FIRST YEAR Education in Indian Society – I Psycho-Pedagogy-I Educational Technology SECOND YEAR Education in Indian Society – II Psycho-Pedagogy-II Teacher Education (B) Special Subjects for I & II years FIRST YEAR Content and Methodology of Teaching-I Content and Methodology of Teaching-I	SECOND YEAR Content and Methodology of Teaching-II Content and Methodology of Teaching-II Any two be chosen from the list given below: The Content and Methodology of Teaching of Tamil English History Social Studies Commerce Mathematics Physical Science Economics Natural Science Computer Science
Attendance at the Personal contact classes is compulsory for trainees. Trainees will have to attach themselves to a recognized school for a period of four weeks for internship during which period they have to teach at least forty lessons in the school concerned.
